Welcome to Bell Motel

Bell Motel, located at 16047 Old U.S. 27 South in Lansing, Michigan, presents itself as a classic mid-century motor lodge experience. With a modest rating of 3.1, this establishment holds a nostalgic charm reminiscent of the late 1950s, appealing primarily to budget-conscious travelers seeking affordable accommodation without the frills of modern renovation.

What Bell Motel lacks in contemporary updates, it more than compensates for through genuine hospitality. Guests frequently note the warmth and friendliness of the owner and staff, which cultivates a welcoming atmosphere uncommon in many larger hotel chains. This personal touch becomes a defining strength, setting it apart in an era where customer service is often impersonal.

The rooms are straightforward but clean, a fact highlighted by guests who appreciate the basic, no-nonsense accommodations they encounter upon arrival. The motel does not offer luxury amenities such as a pool, restaurant, or fitness center; however, it provides essential conveniences including free Wi-Fi, free parking, and accessibility features, catering well to travelers who prioritize cost and practicality over luxury.

Its location is strategic for visitors interested in sightseeing, recreation, and easy transport access in and around Lansing. While the property's vintage aspect might deter those seeking modern comforts, it holds particular value for those who find comfort in simplicity and affordability.

Reflecting on Bell Motel evokes a sense of stepping back in time, where the genuine kindness of its people breathes life into worn walls and minimalistic rooms. It stands as a humble reminder that sometimes, kindness and clean rest can outweigh the allure of lavish upgrades. For travelers mindful of budget yet appreciative of a down-to-earth experience, Bell Motel is a quietly reliable option.

An older cheep motor lodge, it looks like a late 50's motor lodge. It has not been renovated. But very affordable.

Now the reason for this is because the people are friendly. It's not far from where I work and if not working for Scott would love to work for them doing all the cleaning as long as they gave me a place to stay I left the room the way I entered it and I would hate to have them be shut down because there was food in the fridge that was not mine and the room was not even cleaned and the only thing that looked like they did was make the bed and when you are where I am at all you want to do is work and I don't mind housekeeping in fact I love it. They gave me the same comforter I had last time and I will not tell you why that is but it was the same one I had when I stay in room one so bedding must be getting changed regularly and I give them instructions not to bother me during my stay I am so happy for Bells motel for giving me a room my first night not turning me away over $5.

Presently surprised at how decent the room was. It wasnt horrible anyway. It was clean and the owner allowed my husband to give him $20 and let us take our time with checkout the next day, we ended up having lunch and not rushing right out without the added stress of having a deadline of when we had to leave. Would definitely recommend if your tight on funds, and we'll definitely stay again if we happen to be in the area.

It's a good place, and the guy who runs it is super nice and extremely helpful.
